The dining room felt a bit sterile, but it was nicely decorated for the Advent season.

The breakfast was wonderful, with a great spread of fruit and a fresh omelette being prepared as the cherry on top. The location by the park and lake was just perfect for a morning walk.

The breakfast buffet was really good, and the location is central.

Breakfast was very varied, offering the usual cold cuts and cheese plus local specialties, and besides the usual salmon there were other fish dishes and salads. A cook at the buffet prepared eggs fresh on request, and they were nicely plated. Bread, rolls, raisin bread, waffles, croissants, etc.—everything was there. For the sweet side, there were various jams and preserves and about ten different honey varieties from around the world, plus honeycomb. Various juices and Prosecco (with/without alcohol). The staff were exceptionally kind, friendly, helpful, and even a bit playful. The Comfort double with balcony was nicely spacious, the bathroom large enough for two people at once. Sofa, fridge, safe, TV. Plenty of room in the generous wardrobe, suitable for longer stays. The beds/mattresses were comfortable and not sagging. A bottle of water and some pralines were given as a welcome gesture. No parking directly at the hotel, but a car park is just around the corner, within walking distance and a short walk away. The restaurant/dining room felt a bit old‑fashioned, and the lighting could use some work. The dinner menu (three or four courses) would have been a good choice if the first starter (salmon with seaweed salad) hadn’t been mostly hard tail pieces (which normally shouldn’t be served) and if the second starter, a consommé, and the spaghetti for the main course (ossobuco) had not been just lukewarm. The ossobuco was warm, taste-wise okay with room for improvement. The other main course, an avocado sandwich, unfortunately had very little avocado. The kitchen wasn’t having its best day. Regrettable. The staff, as a small consolation, offered dessert for free. Only two power outlets were available in the room, one awkwardly under the desk, the other in the hallway to the bathroom.
