The site was fine. There was only one flickering bulb to light the room, the shower was in front of the bathroom door, and you have to be careful not to wet the floor of the room. No meals were available upon arrival; I had selected breakfast included, but we still had to pay.

The staff were very nice, the room was clean with a comfortable bed, and there was a nice outdoor area to sit and relax; the location was pretty good, just a slight uphill walk from the Church. However, there were plumbing problems, the bathroom had a very bad smell, some sockets didn’t work making it tricky to charge phones, and breakfast was not included in the room price, which was a surprise since most other guesthouses offer complimentary breakfast.

It was clean and everything was new. We had a very bad experience at this place; during two days of stay we were in the dark. We tried to talk to the manager, who answered rudely and didn’t solve the problem. He knew something wasn’t working, even once he gave a generator to keep the lights on, but he didn’t keep it running. Access to the hostel was difficult, we were with a child and it was hard to move around. Also the rooms were not air‑conditioned and the shower was in the whole bathroom. Very bad experience for such a beautiful place.

We stayed at Bujtina Zici for two nights and had a very pleasant stay; the room was clean and comfortable, and the host was very friendly, calm and accommodating. Breakfast can be arranged if you ask the night before; it was simple but sufficient, especially before a day of hiking. There is no air conditioning, but we stayed in early September and it was not needed. The bathroom is also quite basic, with no separate shower area, so the floor gets wet when showering, but this was not a major issue for us. The location is very convenient for hiking, including the Theth Waterfall and the Valbona Pass, and there are several restaurants nearby. Overall, a good and comfortable place to stay while exploring Theth.
