I had never stayed in a hostel before, but even though it was a mixed hostel, I felt very comfortable. The fact that I could put my belongings somewhere that only I could access, the bed was very good for the price, and there was a pillow beside the mattress so you don’t have to worry about leaving your phone far away. Also, the receptionist girl was very helpful! She explained everything I needed to know.

The hostel is comfortable, modern, clean, and large with many amenities that bring people together. It is run very professionally. The location is excellent—very close to the city center and the main KTEL bus station from which you can catch buses to all parts of the island. Everything was great and I have no complaints.

The hostel sits in a very convenient spot in Chania, and the staff assist with whatever you need. The washrooms were mostly clean, and I met some really nice people during my stay. The kitchens were nice too. The rooms were very small, and the AC temperature setting makes the room very hot, especially for those in the lower beds. There were times when the washrooms and bathrooms weren’t clean, and the trash was overflowing. The lockers under the bed are wide but lack enough height, making it hard to store larger suitcases.

I liked it, but I had a restless night because the person next to me wouldn’t let me turn on the AC, insisted on opening the window, and we were on a busy street. I didn’t sleep a wink all night, plus there was a fight over a lit lamp between her and another girl. After reporting to reception, I was able to switch to a quieter room away from the patio. Reception was helpful, the kitchen and all social rooms were fine. Unfortunately you never know who you’ll end up with. Think twice about the dorm and maybe pay extra for peace? Unless you’re traveling with the crew. Not counting that night incident, the hostel is okay. The location is close to the bus station and clean.
