“Fabulous”
Uwe greeted us warmly, the bike storage was convenient, and the house itself was charming, colorful, quirky, and full of character. Our room felt very comfortable and was spotlessly clean. Breakfast offered everything imaginable, beautifully arranged with meticulous detail. Uwe liked chatting with us and the other guest at breakfast, and he was a lovely man—overall a wonderful stay. The shared bathroom worked fine because there were only us and one other person there.
It was an old, charming house, cozy, and the staff were very sweet and helpful. The breakfast I added was truly fantastic.

I found nothing that could be liked except that the accommodation was along our cycling route. The carpets were dirty, dust behind the bed, mold in the bathroom, falling tiles in the bathroom, power supplied via extension cords, a poorly laid, stained carpet with small black bugs. The mattress was very uncomfortable, very soft. You cannot rest because cars drive by the window all night on the main road.

The owners are very friendly, but everything feels dated and in need of renovation. The only old charm came from the worn wooden planks, doors, and brass locksets. There were broken tiles, pipes and wiring exposed over plaster, water stains on the ceiling, a rug that was just pasted on and hanging off the wall, a spotted mattress—disgusting.
The host was very friendly, and you can tell he cares about guests’ well‑being. The breakfast buffet was inviting and tasty. It was a very warm night and the windows faced the street, so it got noisy eventually.
