“Serious Concerns Regarding Cleanliness and Hygiene”
We were really let down at this riad. The room wasn’t clean and smelled strongly of mold; the sheets even had hairs on them, which caused my sister to have an allergic skin reaction. When we mentioned it to the front desk, they promised to investigate but charged us in full right away and didn’t give a satisfactory answer. Later, we found the room had been cleaned and the sheets changed, and the odor had gone, but that only happened after we raised the issue. Because of the cleanliness problems and the health risk, we left and moved to another hotel. It was a disappointing stay and we’d have liked higher cleanliness standards and a more proactive staff response.
