The rooms are simple but comfortable, and the shower and toilet are perfectly clean. There’s a garage to store your bike and a laundry room, and the machines work perfectly for a small fee. It’s ideal if you want to start the Shimanami Kaido from Imabari.

“Solo cyclist”

The dorm rooms are super clean, spacious, and the bunks feel more like capsules with comfy mattresses. The toilet and shower are great, and each room has a kettle for tea or coffee and a fridge. In the next building’s common area you’ll find a kitchenette with a microwave, fridge, hot plate, and toaster. Washing and drying are easy to use, and there’s a garage storage area for bikes. A fantastic ramen restaurant—らーめん・喰うかい—is just around the corner. The rooftop area feels a bit forlorn, so make sure you let the owner know your check‑in time because they’re not always onsite. There’s a phone number, but it would be nice to be able to use WhatsApp.

Everything is spotless, from the room to the toilet and shower. The only downside is that the soundproofing between rooms is poor, so noise leaks a lot.

Walking from the station is very convenient, and the place sits in a residential area that’s quiet and super friendly to bike travelers. For a backpacker bed, I slept on a surprisingly spacious bed with a smoke detector in the single bed area, and the whole partition was thoughtfully designed. The space has separate air‑conditioning, toilet, and bathroom, which is very backpacker‑friendly.
