Breakfast was good, the service was friendly, and the waterfront location was nice, but the room had a strong residual smoke smell and an overall sense of uncleanliness or lingering odors from a long period.

The lakefront location was great and most of the staff were outstanding. However, after over 25 years of visiting, this was the first time we heard complaints about our noise level at 9 p.m. During a long weekend we were told we couldn’t gather outside after 10 p.m. because of alleged complaints from other guests, and the manager’s approach felt aggressive—she didn’t speak to us in a professional, calm way.

The room felt fresh and the view was fantastic! But there weren’t enough shaded spots or seating; the hotel could add more picnic tables and umbrellas around the grounds. They have a large covered patio with only one picnic table, and another by the lake, yet both were occupied the whole time we were there. All the chairs were taken by those guests, and even the chairs outside the rooms were being used by other visitors.

The morning spread was decent – I actually liked the breakfast options. Unfortunately the room left a lot to be desired; it wasn’t as clean as I’d hoped. Overall, a mixed bag.
