The villa’s annex is very well maintained, set in a beautiful park, and everything is spotless and lovingly arranged in a rustic Roman style – a real little oasis. For us it was just a stopover on a long road trip, as it’s very cheap and close to a highway exit, which made it ideal. The accommodation is very clean and comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped, and there are practical mosquito nets on the windows. The owners are very friendly and helpful, and communication went smoothly. The only drawback is that the property is close to a railway line, so passing trains can be heard quite loudly, though we weren’t disturbed at night.

We booked at short notice for one night, but the listing said “one bedroom” and we thought it meant a single room with all beds together and no living area. Inside it was dark and smelled damp. The hosts kept in touch up to check‑in and greeted us with a lovely lady, but the place just wasn’t for us, so we found another spot that night. The hosts were helpful and accommodating, yet the space didn’t match our expectations and was quite dark.
