The South Lake - Ahangama in Ahangama boasts a private beach area, beachfront, infinity swimming pool, sun terrace, and lush gardens. Guests enjoy spa facilities, a restaurant, bar, and free WiFi. Rooms feature air-conditioning, private bathrooms, balconies with pool or garden views, and modern amenities. The restaurant serves British, French, Indian, Italian, seafood, local, Asian, and international cuisines, with nearby attractions including Galle Fort and Dutch Church.

I’m back again and the waterfront restaurant and bar across from the beach serve amazing sunsets. The resort feels modern, clean, and tidy, with well‑maintained gardens and two pool areas. It sits on Koggala Lake, offering boat trips to Cinnamon Island, a temple, and fish‑feet eating, among other sights. Everything is within walking distance to many attractions and restaurants. The front office staff were welcoming and accommodating right from the moment I entered, especially resident manager Sajith Kariyawasama, who made me feel at home and went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay, even arranging my lake boat ride. Special thanks to executive chef Chamara for the papadums, mango chutney, banana cake, and handmade chocolates, and to housekeeping supervisor Lahiru and his team for the clean rooms, beautiful bed presentation, and arrangement on arrival. The restaurant staff also went above and beyond, providing great service and nice music. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great holiday on Sri Lanka’s South Coast. Again, thanks to Sajith for his excellent service and effort. A great team at South Lake Resort.

I had a great stay at this hotel, it was a calm place. Complimentary breakfast was very good, and the staff were excellent. We enjoyed a boat trip to Madol Duwa, which surprised us pleasantly. Thank you very much, especially Mr. Sajith for arranging everything.
