A girl attended me—apparently a volunteer—though she didn’t speak Spanish in Barcelona and she put a lot of effort into it. The online check‑in was very complicated, the link didn’t work, and they charged me the tax twice. Watch out; I’m not sure if I was scammed. Booking or the hostel.

There was a lot of communication and friendliness. Excellent location. I was assigned a bed on the upper floor, which was a bit difficult for me since I’m not very young. Consider the age of guests when assigning beds.

It’s very close to Sagrada Família and there are plenty of nearby conveniences. The accommodation didn’t live up to the price. The bathroom and shower were the most inconvenient—tight and old. The bed mattress was so worn that it collapsed, making it impossible to sleep comfortably. The cleaning staff came every morning, but there was no other staff present. Check‑in and check‑out were both online, and all inquiries or contact had to be done via WhatsApp. I didn’t feel welcomed.

The location and staff were fine. There was a strong mold smell, and the ceiling in the room had black spots just like the bathroom, all from mold.
