B&B La Filanda in Scilla sits directly on the beach, offering a sun terrace and balcony with sweeping sea and city views. Rooms feature air‑conditioning, private walk‑in showers, bathrobes, and soundproofing, plus free WiFi. A continental breakfast showcases local pastries, pancakes, cheeses, fruits, and juice. Nearby, Spiaggia di Scilla, Castello Ruffo, and the Riace Bronzes museum are within walking distance.

The communication was very good, the staff friendly, and the location close to the beach. The roof terrace is lovely and the value for money is great. The room is very small and spartan; the double bed was only about 30 cm from the wall. For the price, the breakfast is acceptable.

The room was nice and large with a good bed. The roof terrace offered a partially slanted view of the sea, though it was far from the breakfast area (basement). Breakfast upstairs wasn’t available; downstairs we had cheese, sausage, fruit, yogurt, and a cake. The walk to the promenade and station was short, and there was a small fridge. At night the street outside was very noisy, even with the windows closed. The room had no coffee or tea making facilities, though the kitchen in the breakfast area had a kettle and a few tea bags; no coffee was provided.

Breakfast and the flexible early‑morning schedule were nice, the terrace is beautiful, the seaside location is great, and the laundry service is a plus. You can’t have breakfast on the terrace, and there’s no car or scooter rental through a partner. Our terrace‑level room faced a ventilation shaft and the restaurant kitchen, so there was noise and odors.

Just steps from both the beach and the train station, the rooftop terrace is perfect for relaxing, the breakfast selection is great, and the place is very quiet. We’ll be coming all the way from Canada again.
