When the drain got clogged and the laundry room wouldn’t open, the cleaning crew stepped in and helped, and the location is right in front of the station exit. However, a strong scent that smelled like a fragrance spray kept being released from around the ceiling at regular intervals, which was unpleasant.

The hotel sat close to the subway and a shop, had a microwave and kettle, and the check‑in was self‑service. A big finger‑sized cockroach was found in the room.

The location is a major plus, right next to the metro entrance, but be prepared for a hike up the stairs with your luggage since there's no elevator. The temperature in the room was a bit of a letdown, but they did have some extra heating units available.

The internet's got some tricks up its sleeve, but don't expect the hotel to be honest about it. This place is a far cry from the old mountain guesthouses I've stayed in - it's a step down, literally, since there's no elevator and you'll be lugging your heavy bags up three flights of stairs. The room had a phone, but it didn't work, and don't even get me started on the state of the room and the lack of fresh towels.

This place is a gem if you're an early riser, as it's super easy to get to Gimpo airport. The hotel itself is really comfortable, and you get a lot of bang for your buck considering the amenities they offer. My only gripe is that the rooms could use a bit of a refresh – the carpet's a bit worn out.
