Cómo valoran los huéspedes el hotel, aspecto por aspecto.
The lodge’s vibe is gorgeous, and we slept in a tent with a fantastic view that let us spot a lot of wildlife. The pool was spotless and lovely. The food wasn’t really to our taste, though the staff were helpful and friendly; we didn’t feel especially welcomed. The card reader stopped working at the end, so bring enough cash. :)

The staff were friendly and everything was clean. The beds were rock‑hard, like sleeping on a stone. There’s a nightly per‑person fee that can push the price up a lot. The shower pressure was non‑existent.

The only thing I liked was dinner. Everything else left me disappointed: the grass around the tents was trimmed only three metres out, the whole site was overrun with weeds, the winding paths with cacti forced us to walk 20 m to cover a straight 10 m stretch, and the grounds felt neglected. Zebra and gnu droppings littered the walkways while eight staff members lingered at reception doing nothing. When we checked out they refused the 2006‑dated dollars and wouldn’t issue an invoice, claiming they never provide them, and their terminal wouldn’t take my Revolut card, so we lost an hour sorting payment and ended up paying cash in local currency—yet they still added a 3 % card surcharge. Breakfast was terrible, with reheated, wilted sausages and old food; we stuck to yogurt, fruit, tea and coffee, and after the lunch boxes everyone had stomach aches. The place was awful for the price, especially with hidden taxes that were never disclosed; the lounge only mentioned that local taxes weren’t included without giving any figures.

The idea of staying in cabins near the Serengeti was appealing, but the food and overall lack of maintenance showed the place was a few years old.

The location was fine, but the dinner didn’t justify the $17.5 price: the fish was over‑fried, the fruit salad was overripe, and the curry was bland. They also don’t care much for guests; we told them upon arrival that the zipper on our tent’s mosquito net wouldn’t close, and they promised maintenance but no one came. Maintenance is lacking.
