Staff from the bellhop to the maid were wonderful, but there was no USB port so I had to trip to Walmart for a charger, and while the Matchplay was good, the menu was limited.

The double room with a 4‑chair patio, pool access, and beautiful grounds had a great layout, but I was let down by the Matchplay pasta—fat parpadelle with almost no protein, just mushrooms—and clearer public parking directions would have helped.

I didn't eat, and the accommodation was old and worn.

I loved the location and the view, but I would suggest adding bike and horse‑ride rentals to the package.
