The room was the most beautiful and spotless I've seen, and the food was excellent; the place itself and the hospitality were wonderful. Nothing to complain about.

The property is stunning and the rooms are amazing; we booked a suite with a private onsen that was incredible. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the suite stayed clean, making our stay in Japan unforgettable. The kaiseki dinners were truly exceptional. The Ryokan sits in a secluded spot, yet it’s only a pleasant 15‑minute walk to the town center where all the shops are. If we needed to travel farther we’d take a taxi or walk to the bus station and catch a bus. The kaiseki breakfast leans toward an acquired taste; as travelers we love new experiences and flavors, so we tried everything and found it delicious, but the fishy, umami flavors early in the morning aren’t for the faint‑hearted. We were grateful to experience traditional Japanese breakfasts, yet if other travelers aren’t into this cuisine there are nearby shops where you can get coffee and other breakfast options.

Peace and serenity prevailed, with traditionally styled rooms featuring tatami mats, shoji screens, and very comfortable futons. The private onsen with hot spring water was a highlight. The food was exceptional, offering multi‑coursed, very traditional yet modern dinners and breakfasts prepared by talented chefs. We stayed for two days, and the menu changed completely each day, focusing on autumn themes. Dining took place in small private rooms, and because the Ryokan has only nine rooms, the sense of peace is amplified. A staff member also comes to pick you up from your room when dinner is ready and brings you back afterward. You’re provided with yukatas and tabi socks for use around your suite and at the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Nothing to note otherwise.

A beautiful room with a lovely garden and exquisite breakfast. The staff were very friendly. The location is a bit off‑the‑beaten‑path and quiet.
