The old town of Aubusson is very impressive and beautiful. For five days we stayed in the old town of Aubusson in the once beautiful and unusual I`entresort Maisonettewohnung graue Türe Nr. 3. Yet the apartment had become dirty over the years and a basic cleaning would have made the stay more pleasant for guests. At first glance the apartment looked occupied, with some clothes hanging on the coat rack and opened bottles of alcohol on the shelf. We were a little uncertain if we were in the right place. The apartment was spacious but very dirty. The basic groceries advertised were from 2020 to 2025 and therefore no longer edible. The dishes, cutlery and pots were also very old and covered in grease and dust. The cupboards and drawers were very dirty. There was no fresh kitchen sponge, no dish towels, only an opened Zewa roll and a garbage bag. The advertised dishwasher was broken and also dirty. Wi‑Fi was not available. Upon request the landlord apologized for the situation. The plants were withering, fallen leaves lay on the floor, and corners were full of cobwebs. Around the nice dining table there were six chairs, all at least from the 1900s, broken, and sitting on them was a risk. The staircase to the upper levels was also a personal creation. The staircase and the hallway had no railing, only the hanging from the roof beams that held the stairs. For families with children or seniors it posed a serious accident risk. The bathroom was also dirty, the tiles had soap residue, and there was only an unfinished roll of toilet paper. Despite all this we had a wonderful time.
