The location was fine, but breakfast was a lie – no actual breakfast, just a few loaves of bread for toast. We were promised side‑by‑side rooms, yet my brother and his wife found their beds unfinished. We had to plug every light because there were no outlets, and the vending machines and ice machine were all broken.

The only thing worth mentioning was that it served as a place during a medical emergency. Everything else was a disaster – no AC or heating, no lights, no working microwave or refrigerator.

We left immediately because the place was disgusting: rotten drywall under the windows, curtains with brown stains and holes, a broken main light, no AC in the lobby, a broken bathroom, and a pool area that doubled as storage. The room was filthy, musty, and we couldn’t sleep, so we drove back to Iowa City for a room.

The bed was okay, but the TV in the first room wouldn’t connect to Wi‑Fi, so I moved to another room that also failed to connect, though I eventually got cable working. The room was hot, musty, and the breakfast offered only one type of donut holes, white bread, wheat bread, frosted flakes, and one other cereal.
