The staff were hard‑working and friendly, and the food was excellent.

The hosts were very friendly and made us feel right at home. The food and drink were really good, and the overall experience was excellent. We didn’t find anything we didn’t like. The old pub has new owners since our last visit, and they clearly had a lot to do to bring things up to a standard they were really happy with. We see this venue getting better and better and becoming a place to stay. We will definitely come back.

We loved it! We canoed up the river, moored, and decided to stay the night with our dog. The food was exceptional, especially my partner’s Moroccan duck, which he said was one of the best meals he’s ever had. Breakfast was perfect and filling before another day of canoeing.
