“Camera sbagliata, porte che non chiudono e poca cortesia.”
The fresh, liberating air on the morning of checkout was a highlight, yet the overall experience was terrible. We had booked two nights but, due to a last‑minute change, asked to move the stay forward by one day. Both the booking site and host Angela confirmed availability. Unfortunately, upon arrival we were given a room completely different from the photos in the listing, with no prior mention of an alternative. We checked in on time but no one greeted us. The room we received was not only different but in unacceptable cleaning and maintenance conditions. When we asked for an explanation, Angela said, “in B&Bs it works like this: you give the available room.” A strange take on booking. The next day we finally moved to the room matching the photos after waiting for it to be vacated and cleaned. By then, the issue had become secondary to how every concern was handled. Every interaction with Angela was marked by rudeness, aggression and discourtesy, rarely seen in hospitality. There was no genuine willingness to listen or understand our discomfort, and we were constantly told that we weren’t paying “300 euros a night,” as if cleanliness, maintenance, courtesy and consistency between what is booked and what is received were optional.
