“Fab doedogne stay.”
The old farmhouse had been fully renovated inside, with separate areas each having its own bathroom and kitchen, although our two families mainly used the main kitchen. The separation helped keep the kids apart. The large garden and pool were meticulously kept; unlike other places I've stayed, the pool had no excess chemicals, was clean, warm, and usable. It was just north of Sarlat, close to the usual sights and shops, making it a great base for exploring. It was 40°+ during our stay, so the bedroom air conditioning was a lifesaver. Alex, the concierge, was very helpful and spoke better English than my French, which I appreciated. The owner would occasionally pop in to clean the pool and garden and was interesting to chat with about the house’s history. All in all, a lovely holiday in a beautiful house.
