The location was great and the staff were friendly, yet the property was still under renovation, so some of these issues might be fixed soon. The room felt dated: old carpet with stains in several spots, older furniture, and a bathroom layout I didn't like. It definitely needs a modern facelift. For the price and the hotel’s reputation, I expected a nicer room.

The hotel itself was okay and comfortable, but it felt quite old‑fashioned and dated—no USB charging points, for instance. They’re doing a lot of construction, so improvements are likely. The swimming pool was closed due to building work, though the reason was unclear. The breakfast buffet wasn’t great either. Overall, it was disappointing for a 4‑star hotel.

The room was clean and tidy, not too small, perfect for two people. The breakfast was a bit pricey, so we skipped it and instead had lunch at the Mandarin Oriental on the 3rd floor.
