“Eine Woche Koh Chang”

A small oasis off the main road. The Party Mile is still audible for those who are very sensitive. A 7‑Eleven and CJ are within walking distance. Everything is almost right outside the door: restaurants, massages, scooter rental, pharmacy… Only the fine sand beach is a bit farther away; we got there quickly by scooter. The room isn’t cleaned daily unless you put up a sign, and no new water bottles are brought. You have to get your breakfast from the buffet yourself in the morning. I put a full trash bin in front of the door as a demonstration; the staff seemed uninterested. I had to empty it myself after two days. Just so you know, the reception is unstaffed at night or late evening.

A quiet, lush garden sits at the heart of this little oasis. The staff is super friendly. The rooms are well insulated and the AC is great. The bed was comfy (though a bit squeaky) and the pillows were good too. There was plenty of storage space in the room and a drying rack outside as well. We stayed for a month and would come back again. I would have liked a squeegee for the shower/toilet floor and an overhead fan on the porch to keep the heat and bugs out; these are minor points.

The spot was convenient, with plenty of eateries and shops nearby, and the beach was about a 15‑minute walk away. The rooms stayed tidy, and renting a motorcycle was straightforward, though pricier than other options. Breakfast offered limited choices, but that was acceptable for us. We were swarmed by mosquitoes, likely due to the abundance of greenery and plants, and it felt as if the staff were more focused on profit than hospitality, with a noticeable lack of friendliness.
