The Hotel Capitol is centrally located in Pisa's historic centre, near the hospital and university. Modern rooms with internal courtyard views offer quiet comfort. The hotel features a lounge area and stylish bar. Close to Campo dei Miracoli, the Leaning Tower, and Piazza del Duomo, it's 100 metres from shops, bars, restaurants, and a convenient car park.

The hotel sits in a good spot for the centre, breakfast was decent, the bathroom fine, and the value for money solid; we especially appreciated the parking, which was kindly left open a bit past checkout, though the shower was a little small, but that wasn’t a big issue.

I was disappointed by the manager’s unprofessional conduct. We called on the arrival day because the bathroom was dirty with hair on the floor and the sheets were filthy, so we had to change the sheets ourselves and make the bed. When I asked for a discount, they said we would discuss it the next day. On the departure day the manager didn’t show up, and the staff charged us, claiming the manager had told them not to charge for parking or breakfast – which we refused, knowing the negative reviews. I kept insisting on speaking to the owner, who said she would come later and that I should call back. I’m still waiting for her call. The reservation fee was taken from my credit card. I find it shameful that a manager neither shows up nor calls a customer who has had problems. I would not recommend staying here.

Great location, just a five‑minute walk from the Leaning Tower of Pisa and outside the ZTL, but the room definitely needed a refresh and there was no staff on site; on the morning we left, our car was blocked by two other vehicles in the paid €15 lot and we had to knock on every hotel door to find the owners, which was absurd, and we never saw anyone at reception from our arrival at 16:00 until we left at 7:30 the next day.

The place is well‑situated, but the bathroom needs a makeover. The shower is very small; we had trouble bending down.

It was my first hotel in Italy, so it was just a stop‑over! I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff – everyone was kind, and I definitely recommend this hotel. The value for money is very appealing. Everything was perfect; I have nothing negative to add.
