Unfortunately we could not reach the property, which seemed impressive. Unfortunately we could not use the stay because of a serious communication problem about how to access the property, which is not reachable by car, nor by bridges, nor by any transport that would allow a vehicle to get to Sulina or cross the river to continue by car. The booking was made based on the information available at the time of booking, including that provided by the assistant, which later turned out not to match the actual access methods. Once the situation was verified, I immediately contacted support and opened a dispute on the same day. About a month later the dispute is still open. They have told me on several occasions that they are waiting for a response from the property to conclude the case. I therefore advise future guests to carefully check the access methods and the schedules of passenger ferries before booking and to request written confirmation of any essential logistical details, to avoid possible misunderstandings and inconveniences.

I was blown away by the fully wooden replica of Columbus’s Santa Maria, scaled down a bit but still impressive; the captain and owner were super knowledgeable and friendly, and when we left they even set all the sails for us.

The vessel was amazing, complete with a family of adorable, playful cats that made every deck moment idyllic and peaceful; George, our host, was friendly, approachable, and kind, and he even brewed coffee each morning; the shared kitchen had all the basics and plenty of fridge space; while the ship’s steep steps and modest cabin size might not suit those with limited mobility or who expect a luxury bedroom, we loved every minute, with cozy bunks, comfortable mattresses, and a compact, well‑equipped bathroom that set a wonderful ambience.
