It was a one‑of‑a‑kind stay inside a UNESCO heritage site that’s still in excellent shape. Breakfast was tasty, the staff were friendly, and the view was stunning. They even let you hop on free daily excursions, and if you’re up for it, try staying a bit closer to Bombom—its beach is literally right there. Just remember Belo Monte is brand new, so the gym and massage rooms aren’t ready yet, and Banana beach is a 30‑minute walk there and 40 minutes back.
