I would highly recommend Francesca’s place. On the day of our outbound flight, the airline had to reschedule two flights, so our arrival was delayed until midnight instead of the afternoon. Francesca was flexible and arranged access to the flat without any issues. Over the following four days, she was available at all times to give information and tips, creating a very pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. The flat’s location is ideal – the bus stop is 30 metres away, and buses run regularly straight into the city centre. It’s also about a 25‑minute walk to Vatican City.

The accommodation was in a very good spot, close to the metro and bus, and there were small shops and restaurants nearby. Our room was nicely renovated and furnished. Francesca, the host, was very kind, helpful, and attentive. The room came with a bottle of sparkling wine and a bottle of wine. The breakfast was pre‑prepared, and we had to serve ourselves in the kitchen. That was not what we expected, and we don’t particularly like pre‑packaged bread and pastries, but otherwise there was plenty of ham, salami, cheese, milk, yogurt, fruit juice, and good quality coffee pods. The bathroom was a bit narrow, and the mattress on the bed was a bit soft and sagged.

A spotless place in a solid spot, close to the Vatican and the subway makes it easy to reach the city. Everything feels quite new because it was recently renovated. The host was very friendly. The only downside is that the nearby street makes it fairly noisy, but the accommodation itself doesn’t help with that.
