This 4-star hotel, a Category B listed building with Victorian elements, features elegant interiors and warm service. Located on the Esplanade, it's a 5-minute drive from the rail station and ferry port, with McCaig's Tower and local bars and restaurants within walking distance.

The hotel is a lovely spot, roughly a 15‑minute walk from the bus and train station, housed in an old building that’s been updated in the main areas and feels very comfortable. A few spots still need TLC, but the place is spotless and the bed was great. If you book a Sea view room you’ll get amazing views. Plenty of amenities are nearby, and every staff member is lovely and very helpful—just ask and they’ll oblige. Free Wi‑Fi and a great breakfast with both continental and hot options are provided. Oban is a fantastic place to visit, and I’d definitely return to this hotel for its great value. The only downside is that there are not enough sockets in the bedroom.

The hotel is well situated and an easy walk into town, and the room was warm and well furnished. However, the building feels a bit tired and the general areas, especially the corridors, were absolutely freezing, so it was a relief to get into our room.

We were grateful for the partial view from our room, and breakfast was a plus. The building feels cool as you walk through it, and on the day of check‑in there was no elevator available.
