The spot is gorgeous and the staff are welcoming. The dinner was simple yet spot on, and the vervet monkeys outside the door always make for a lively wake‑up. The road can be rough in some stretches, but a grader or even a pick‑and‑shovel would fix it easily.

The place is peaceful, the hosts are very courteous, and the food is great. The shows were confusing; one minute the temperature was hot, the next it was cold, and I just couldn’t get it right.

Lovely staff and a quiet location on a farm with views as far as Isandlwana and beyond. A lovely little boma fire next to the braai was even lit for us, and having the inside fire burning on our arrival was an added bonus. Samu was a brilliant manageress during our stay; her staff were friendly and very eager to help with everything. A small issue was the crumpets at breakfast had too much baking powder, so they were a little bitter tasting, but the rest was delightful.
