Everything was super clean, we could leave the car in front of the house which gave us a lot of peace of mind. Ana and Ricardo welcomed us and were charming, they explained everything and also gave us their WhatsApp in case we needed anything. They were very attentive. The bed was very comfortable, the TV had Netflix, the bathroom was very large and clean. Regarding the location, there are many beaches that are less than half an hour by car away. It’s also a good spot to visit Cascais and Sintra.

The village house is fully renovated, everything is new, clean and the décor is very pretty. The bathroom is large with a spacious shower. The owners, Ricardo and Ana, are pleasant. Unfortunately the house has a serious damp problem (I don’t know if it’s due to the area) the walls cry and water spots form on the floor. For example, I left my sandals under the table and the next day they were completely wet. Ventilating the house properly is impossible because it fills with a swarm of insects in minutes. The layout of the house doesn’t allow you to have your privacy and be on your own. The shared kitchen is a passageway for entering or leaving. I’ve stayed in other accommodations where the kitchen is shared but you can access it if you want, and if not, you enter and leave the room without needing to share or cross paths with anyone. We were lucky that the four days we stayed, there were no other tenants, but if there had been, you would have to leave the room and run into the other tenants every single time (I’m aware this is a matter of taste, I like being on my own). I also didn’t understand why the previous reviews mention that Ana prepares breakfast, in our case it wasn’t. She didn’t come even one day to prepare it (this isn’t a criticism because I don’t need breakfast prepared for me, but if someone values that within the price of the stay, they should take it into account). We, three people, paid 488€ for three nights. The kitchen has all kinds of utensils but no broom and mop to sweep crumbs that might fall or just the bathroom hair, as well as mop after leaving the shower. I was surprised that the next day after arrival, Ricardo and Ana presented themselves at 12h with a broom, saying they were coming to pick up the garbage bags and sweep, then they never came back. Honestly I didn’t understand that visit, which would have made more sense on the second or third day when it was actually necessary to sweep or remove garbage bags. Regarding the location, you have to take a car for everything.
