The host was friendly, and her relatives were nice too. The hostel had only a few guests staying at a time.

It sits right in the town center on a quiet side street. The beds were comfortable, and the neighbors helped with a late check‑in. Bathroom cleaning was desperately needed, maintenance was lacking, and the staff’s communication was very slow.

The location was good. The hotel was filthy. I was first given a dirty bed in a room that hadn’t been cleaned. Of the four beds, two were dirty, and two had used sheets rolled up on them. After I went to tell them, they offered to move me to another room. Those beds had clean sheets, but the room hadn’t been swept in a long time. Small insects came out of the walls and chewed the wood. Of the four toilets, only one worked. Of the four showers, two were functional.

Close to everything—banks, shops, the center of Nuku'alofa. It’s a backpacker spot, not a place I’d recommend to tourists. I paid in cash, didn’t get a receipt, and the total was different from what I actually paid. There was no cooking facility, just a fridge or microwave, and the amenities were awful. No toilet paper was given, showers needed an upgrade, and a couple of rooms charged 140 a night with no amenities. The English‑speaking guy left after one night, and I ended up in a different place.

The location was decent. I couldn’t sleep because the place was terrible—run down, no Wi‑Fi, showers were awful, dirty, and cold. Avoid this place.
