The staff were very friendly and the food was fantastic. The location is remote but very beautiful. It was disappointing that the hotel did not consider unforeseen circumstances: the car ferry was cancelled because of the typhoon, the jetfoil was overbooked and JAP had no tickets left, making it impossible to reach the island. I reported this, but they were unhelpful. The next day they changed their cancellation policy to 7 days, something that was not mentioned the day before. This caused me to lose a whole day on Hell Island and pay extra for another stay while the hotel charged for the full night.

The scenery was spectacular and I really liked the staff’s personalities—we chatted a lot. I wasn’t sure the owner was actually paying attention; everything seemed left to the staff, which gave the impression of a feudal‑style operation.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel, with delicious meals and clean rooms. The view from the terrace was also lovely. However, I felt that the hotel could be improved with the addition of a large bath or hot spring. Additionally, the location made it difficult to get around without a rental car, as it was far from the airport.

I recently stayed at a hotel that had an unbeatable location right on the beach. However, I was a bit disappointed by the lack of attention to detail, as I noticed towels scattered around the lobby and empty bottles left at the beach access path. Despite this, the hotel's proximity to the ocean made up for these minor issues.
