Best stay of the trip! An absolutely wonderful few days here. Our guide for the 2 hikes we did was very knowledgeable about the local fauna and pointed lots of plants and animals out to us. We came back from both hikes in the early to find home cooked local meals ready for us. Generous portions and delicious food! The views over the valley from the accommodation are wonderful. And we had really relaxing afternoons reading our books or swimming in the spring-fed pool. The journey up through the hills took a couple of hours from Kandy, and the roads are windy but well-maintained. The property picked us up at the junction 1.5km away and took us for the last section

The location is so quiet and private. The rooms were very good for the price, and there is easy access to waterfalls and high mountains.

If you're looking for an adventure, this hotel is a great choice. The journey to get there is an adventure in itself, winding through tea plantations and villages. The staff are friendly and do their best to help with issues like leeches, and the food is tasty, if limited. However, be prepared for basic rooms and no hot water, and consider bringing snacks and earplugs, as the roof can be noisy on windy nights. Overall, it's a great place to unwind in the mountains, with a lovely pool to enjoy.
