The car park was decent sized and the pub looked good inside and out, yet the staff we met barely made eye contact, showed no enthusiasm, and just handed us keys and pointed to our rooms; the rooms themselves were small, dark, and needed airing, especially my sister’s room, which was the worst and I can’t see how she slept there; I would have asked for a different room or a refund, it was gross; getting into the rooms was a challenge because the keys caught on the locks—just a minor point.
