“Great boutique hotel with amazing amenities”
The rooms were spacious and had a boutique vibe, with a great location and amenities like turn‑down service. Nothing was lacking—this stay was a highlight of our trip.

I absolutely loved this hotel. I came to LA to watch my son perform at The Troubadour, walked there from the hotel, dined at a lovely restaurant, and enjoyed the nightlife. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, and my room was comfortable and spotless.

I had my booking cancelled without any warning on the day I arrived in the city.

The location was perfect in one of Los Angeles’ most beautiful neighborhoods. Breakfast was fantastic, not very extensive but high quality. The private parking was convenient—just leave the car in front of the building and the staff handled everything. There were a few minor inconveniences upon arrival, but the staff worked to resolve them.

Hotel 850 SVB is a small, characterful hotel that is well‑maintained, tastefully furnished, and very welcoming. Its location is superb, in a comfortable and attractive part of Los Angeles, on a quiet residential street yet a short walk from a lively center. Our room wasn’t huge but had all the comforts, even a yoga mat and mat. Breakfast is essential but still very appreciated and good: sweet and savory brioche, fruit, yogurt, with fruit juice, coffee or tea. We liked the welcome snack set in the room, with the first round offered. The option to have tea or coffee in the room or in the lounge was also appreciated. We used the car‑valet service, which wasn’t cheap but was in line with local prices. We also saw that bike‑rental service was available, though we didn’t use it.
