The staff were very welcoming, the spot was spot‑on, and for the price the room was solid, but the room wasn’t clean and there were plenty of cockroaches—two I had to pull out, three or four dead ones under the bed, and two more dead ones the next morning. A chemical smell in the room suggested they were trying to kill them, which was really unpleasant. I understand Thailand has many roaches and it can be hard to manage, but it would have been better not to let anyone stay in that room until the issue was fixed, even for just one night.
