The food at the restaurant was very good and the breakfast was also tasty, yet the hotel feels very old and the rooms need a refresh and maintenance.

On the plus side, the reception staff were very friendly, but the impression was spoiled by an irate woman who ran out of a room behind the reception and completely ignored guests waiting to be checked in—she seemed to give her request priority over everyone else. The gentleman at reception handled it professionally, but the unpleasant feeling lingered. A minus would be the room cleanliness; a cobweb in a corner and a very worn handle on the balcony railing spoiled an otherwise good impression. Another downside was that the hotel only notified us in the evening before arrival that the pool would be open until 19:30 due to a private event. I think the private event was planned much earlier, and if the hotel had informed us sooner we could have adjusted our plans; at the last minute we couldn't do much.
