I hit this spot while biking coast‑to‑coast and it was spot on – plenty of Hadrian’s Wall nearby, a tidy kitchen, a helpful bike shed, and everything else I could think of. I didn’t have any complaints at all.

This place is a real find; I’ll be back. They left a fridge and cupboards stocked for me when I arrived late, which was a thoughtful touch.

Newbrough is tiny, but the property sits right in the middle of everything. The layout was clear, and the instructions for entering the bunk rooms and the secure bike storage were straightforward. The place was spotless, and the linens and towels were freshly laundered. The only downside was that the property can hold 18 people, yet we were the only five of us staying, so the kitchen – while clean and well stocked – was too small for 18. Luckily we were the only guests, so it worked perfectly for us, and all five of us agreed.
