“Nice and big space with kitchen to use, but not clean anywhere.”

The place was a decent spot with a kitchen you could cook in, a large roof terrace, and my room opened onto a smaller balcony – overall a nice setup. It was pretty quiet because there weren’t many guests. On the downside, the hotel was filthy: my room arrived dusty, with old water bottles under the bed and a mosquito net covered in grime. The bathroom’s shelf and sink still had hair and dirt, and the common areas were dirty and had broken items. I tried to talk to the manager, but it seemed he didn’t get it. I ended up cleaning the room myself, and if they actually start cleaning, this place could be great.

We had booked four nights but ended up staying ten, and we were lucky enough to almost have the place to ourselves. Every morning we made our own breakfast with fresh dal and sambol from local restaurants as a side. The big roof terrace was high and airy, perfect for relaxing and doing yoga each day. The hosts were very friendly, and the room was warm at night, but we asked for an A/C and they included it – thanks. The only thing that could have been better was the cleanliness around the bed and the ceiling, but the price per night was cheap enough that it didn’t matter.

The hotel sits just a short walk from the beach, ideal for surfers. The room was clean with just a little dust, which is fine for the price, so I’d recommend it. The kitchen area was dirty, but since we only used the fridge for storage it didn’t bother us. The bed was okay, the AC worked, and overall I’d come back.

Good accommodation for the price and a great location with a nice landlord. Initially we got a room with a tiny window and it was very hot that night, but the landlord kindly swapped us for a room with a bigger window that was much better. I appreciated the plentiful cold water in the common area. Cleanliness could be better, but it wasn’t awful.
