“Une plongée dans un vrai pub comme les français l’imaginent”
The atmosphere was warm and village‑like, and the food was great. The only downside was that breakfast started late.

The service was excellent, the food very good – you must eat at the pub – the staff were super kind, friendly, and helpful; it’s LGBT‑friendly.

We found it perfect – the rooms are small but very comfortable. The four of us booked all four rooms for an overnight stay and had a wonderful time. The staff are utterly delightful. The food is simple but plentiful and well cooked, and breakfast kept us going all day! They also own the Blacksmith’s Cafe just yards away, which had a great selection of cakes, but we were too full to try them. Next time! The only thing to note is that if you want spacious rooms, you might find them small, but for us they were ideal.

The rooms were freshly renovated, the breakfast was good, and the food—especially the steak day—was great.
