“Okay for a stopover during a walk but accomodation very dated.”
Good location. The bathroom was very dated and some areas were not cleaned very well.

Paddy was very welcoming and helpful; it was a short but very pleasant stay. The room was spacious and the breakfast was excellent. It would have been nice if the curtains had met so they could properly close.

The staff were friendly, chatty, and helpful. I loved how dog‑friendly it was. The food was well portioned and DELICIOUS. The rooms were a little tired – decor and carpets – but they were very clean. It actually made me feel more comfortable having my two big dogs stay in the room.

A charming old BnB or pub inn right in the heart of Dartmoor, very authentic with a great spot. The service was friendly and the breakfast good. The pub offered solid beers and decent food. The building itself needs a fair amount of renovation; the bathrooms, rooms and windows look neglected, though the cottages next door are nicely modernised.

We were delighted with our stay – it hit every expectation. The pub, full of character, served excellent Dartmoor ale and a tasty full English breakfast. Our room was spotless, orderly, quiet, and ready for us after a long hike. The staff were friendly and I’d highly recommend it. Nothing to complain about.
