The rooms now include a microwave, and I absolutely adore Ponta Mar – the staff are incredibly helpful and the location is spot‑on. I booked a pool‑view ocean view and it was stunning to wake up to those sights 😍

It would be easier to wash up dishes, and there should be more braai facilities; sharing one braai between four rooms is a struggle. Some other guests were blasting loud music around the pool area – I don’t mind music, but the resort should manage the volume and taste so it doesn’t become a nuisance.

The place has a perfect location, but maintenance is needed: our bathroom window and door were broken. The rooms were very clean with a nice ocean view. My mom had a serious fall from the top‑room stairs because the tiles are very slippery; I would expect non‑slip tiles near the ocean. We’ll go back, but definitely skip the top rooms. The stairs are unsafe for guests – a non‑slip tile outside would help, especially since units get wet from the ocean. Small maintenance issues like a broken lock affect the whole experience.
