The general manager was fantastic and made us feel very welcome; we’d definitely return if we’re back in the area. The only downside was that there was no shower gel next to the bath, and the road outside was noisy, though that’s not the hotel’s fault.

Breakfast was excellent, and the accommodation was good with all the facilities; the staff were friendly and approachable.

The super dinner and bed‑and‑breakfast deal was great value, the food amazing, the restaurant beautiful, the staff friendly and accommodating, and the room comfortable. The wet room left the bathroom floor damp after showering, but that was manageable.

A 500‑year‑old pub that also offers rooms nailed it—staff were fantastic from check‑in to check‑out, the food was superb, and the hearty breakfast in the morning was a highlight. Nothing negative to add.
