I chose The Goring because I’m a huge fan of Princess Kate and knew the hotel was linked to her story, so staying there felt like a small dream come true. The atmosphere was elegant, refined, and fairy‑tale‑like; for a few days I truly felt like a princess, as if I’d stepped into a Disney story from the moment I arrived. The salons, scents, flowers, the elegance of every space, and the attention to detail all seemed to belong to an enchanted world. The Afternoon Tea was unforgettable: sitting in those rooms felt like living a fairy tale, as if time had stopped. Dinner was also extraordinary, and the breakfasts were a small ritual of happiness each morning. For a few days I felt I was living the dream I’d imagined for years, breathing the same atmosphere that had captivated Kate. Unfortunately, every time we returned to the room, that magic faded. We had been assured the room would be suitable for a person with mobility impairment, yet there was a step, the shower wasn’t fully accessible, and some essential adjustments were missing. We also toured all other rooms offered to us, but they had the same issues and none were truly accessible. It’s hard to explain how painful it is to see a dream cut short by something that could have been avoided. Because The Goring is such a special place, the disappointment was even greater. The magic shouldn’t stop at the door of a room. I sincerely thank all the staff for their kindness, professionalism, and smiles each day. I will always carry the memory of that castle in the heart of London, where for a few days I felt like a princess in a Disney fairy tale.
