Everything was fine: a nice, clean, pleasant room with an en suite bathroom and no complaints at all. The staff I met were friendly and helpful. I had a nice pint of Guinness in the pub and noticed the food looked pretty good, though I didn’t try it. The price was high for a room above a pub (without breakfast) compared to a 5* star hotel, but given the economic crisis we must support small independent local businesses like this.

The staff were super friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed a delicious meal in the pub which was great value.

This is a lovely community pub with a nice garden and lovely food. The rooms are above the pub via a different entrance and our room was spotless with a very comfy bed and a good large shower. There were tea and coffee making facilities with complimentary bottles of water, biscuits etc. The pub is in a residential street which was very quite of an evening. The staff were friendly, polite and very helpful. Real value for money. The bus stop is literally a 5:min walk away to take you into Brighton so very easy to travel back and forward. The towels provided were very small and having a 6ft 2" husband he couldn't even wrap him round him. However that is the only thing the rest of it was brilliant
