The place sits conveniently between San Diego and Chiricahua National Monument, and the hostess was very kind; the room was spacious and quiet, far from the highway. The air‑conditioning unit, however, wasn’t powerful enough to cool the whole room, especially since it was 119 degrees outside.

The location is convenient for travelers, and the receptionist is friendly and welcoming. The rooms are always immaculate and comfortable, and the air conditioner works well. There is no closet, but the space for hanging clothes is adequate. The office is currently being remodeled, so breakfast was not available. This is just a basic hotel, and my expectations were met. Breakfast is a nice option, but the remodeling meant it was not available. Even when breakfast was served in the past it was minimal, but considering the price of the rooms, it was adequate in terms of value.

It’s an upgraded old motel that is surprisingly well done. Everything is perfectly clean, with all the expected amenities in good working order. I was genuinely surprised at how nice it was. Nothing really.

It was definitely a bright spot in a depressed town full of rundown and abandoned motels and businesses. The weather was horrible: a blowing sandstorm came through followed by rain, thunder and lightning, so I never got to relax in the pool. Another issue was that the TV offered very few choices.
