The place was dirty, and the staff charged my card an extra $75 without permission. In the first room, the floor was soaking wet and smelled awful; in the second, the shower was filthy, the wall had a hole, and hallway lights didn’t work. The area felt sketchy with people around.

Front desk staff were polite and helpful, but the hotel is overdue for renovation, repairs, and updating. It’s really dirty: the carpet is filthy everywhere, cobwebs in the halls, and doors in rooms are filthy. We found hair in our sink and bathtub. The breakfast lady is rude, looks like she can’t stand guests, and waits until 9:57 to start setting up the limited breakfast bar.

Breakfast was good with lots of variety, but the room smelled musty and felt very outdated for the price. The body wash was a bar instead of liquid.

The room smelled like musty urine, and there was no way to ventilate it, making it hard to breathe. A garbage bag of food was left in the hallway, and a lady was constantly vaping there. The elevator and its door were broken. I requested a first‑floor room near the exit for my senior dog, but the closest door had to be propped open because you couldn’t get back in. The hallway carpet was stained and dirty. Yugi was incompetent when I asked about canceling my stay, but Waylon handled check‑out well a few hours after I checked in. I got a full refund, yet the place was beyond disgusting.

The location is near Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital, and housekeeping was great—the person who cleaned was excellent. However, the age of the property shows through even after upgrades. There’s mold in the caulking around the tub, and housekeeping can’t seem to handle it. Mattresses are lumpy. All outlets have multiple plugs, but none are near the bed or desk for phone charging. The desk has outlets along the sideboard on the right, but none of those plugs are active.
