The place sits in an ideal spot, very convenient and close to the lake—though you can’t see the lake from the property. It’s also near Udawalawe National Park and the Udawalawe Elephant Transit Home, which makes it a great base for the area. There is no private parking at the property, but plenty of street parking is nearby. The entrance goes through the restaurant area, which isn’t very organized, and there’s no dedicated guest reception or welcome lounge for large groups. The staff do their best to make guests feel comfortable. The restaurant food isn’t great value, though it’s decent and the setting is clean and pleasant, making dining enjoyable.
