I was moved to the railway branch because of renovations, but they warned me early and upgraded my room, even giving me local cookie treats on arrival, which felt very sincere. The breakfast variety was a bit limited and the scrambled eggs with tomato the next morning had a slightly burnt taste.

The room was neat, quiet, and though small it had everything it needed; the shower faucet was strong and the bed was comfortable. The price was low and included breakfast, so the value was high. On the day of my stay the Wi‑Fi wouldn’t connect because it was too late, so I used my own network; otherwise it was acceptable.

They integrated the Wu‑lung service so you could call for drinks, pay at the front desk, then pick them up downstairs—very convenient. The location is close to the beach park. The toilet’s water reservoir and flush were problematic, the flow was weak, and even normal waste would clog it. The AC started dripping heavily in the middle of the night; I didn’t turn on the lights to check, thinking it was rain outside, and my partner noticed the issue. We had to turn the AC off and endure a stuffy room in the hot Taitung. Also, the room I booked as a double was automatically upgraded to a triple, which was unnecessary and still had the same problems.
