The location was spot‑on – right next to the station for an easy ride to Brussels, set in a beautiful historic building, and the owners welcomed us with genuine warmth. The only thing that kept it from being perfect was the missing TV and the fact that breakfast wasn’t included, which felt a bit off for the price, but the rest of the stay was so fantastic it hardly mattered.

The rooms behind the restaurant are sleek and surprisingly calm, and you can reach the lake with a ten‑minute walk. The downside is that the rooms share walls, so if the neighbour is noisy you’ll definitely hear it.

Just a five‑minute walk to the Genval train station and bus stop, with shops and restaurants nearby, yet the area stays quiet enough for a relaxing nature break. The locals are friendly, which adds to the charm.
