The staff were polite, the private villa had a lovely outdoor onsen, and the dinner and breakfast were good, but the rooms had terrible moisture and widespread mold that caused breathing problems.

The building was gorgeous, easy to reach, and fully equipped; we stayed one night in a room with a private onsen and also enjoyed the beautiful public onsen. The kaiseki dinner featured crab, which we selected during booking, but we requested a change at check‑in and it was denied because no alternative was available, which was a bit disappointing; despite the high price, I highly recommend it.

The staff were incredibly kind and we felt very well taken care of; the ryokan was beautiful, clean, the food amazing, and the onsen was very nice, making us love every second of our stay.

The rooms were nice and Japanese in style, and our luggage was brought right into the room; the staff were very friendly. The food, however, wasn’t great, and we felt the place seemed geared toward foreigners who don’t notice the difference between authentic Japanese cuisine and service, while the bath area is no longer the newest.
